A project is a customer order or internal job. It's made of one or more beds — each bed is one print run: a printer, any number of materials, print time, and grams used. In a new workshop a project moves through Planning, RFQ, Scheduled, In Progress, Ready, and Completed, with On Hold and Cancelled as side branches, and moving a job to Ready takes its material out of stock automatically. You can change the statuses, the allowed moves and what each status does in Settings → Workflow.

A quote adds up machine time (hours × the printer's hourly rate, which already includes its electricity) and material (grams × sell price, falling back to cost if no sell price is set, plus the material's waste allowance), then applies a margin to that sum — the project's, unless a bed has its own. Labor, hardware, setup fees and extra services are added at what they cost, with no margin on top, and a rush charge is a percentage of the margin-priced part. Exclude a bed entirely with the exclude toggle, or hide it from the customer-facing quote while still counting it in your totals.

Materials track cost and sell price per gram plus current stock, with a low-stock warning once you set a threshold. Inventory covers everything else you keep on hand — hardware, spare parts, consumables — with per-item stock levels and a purchase list for what to buy next.

In Settings → Data, workshop admins can export a single JSON file with the workshop's printers, materials and inventory, projects and print beds, customers, folders, ledger entries, calendar notes and settings — archived and deleted records included. Uploaded files are listed by name, without their contents. Import reads such a file back in: Smart Merge (recommended) skips what is already there, Merge adds copies, and Replace swaps the selected data for the file's and cannot be undone.

A project is the job — usually one customer order. A bed is one print run inside that job. Most projects have just one bed; a multi-part order might have several.

Excluding a bed drops it from both your totals and the customer-facing quote — use it for a run you're not billing for. Hiding keeps it in your totals but off the printed quote — use it when you don't want a customer to see a specific line item.

If a material has no sell price per gram set, quoting falls back to its cost per gram so the number is never blank. Set a sell price on the material to price it separately from cost.

Admins have full access, including pricing, settings, and team management. Operators get a configurable subset — for example, an operator might be limited to their assigned projects, or unable to see pricing. An admin sets this per person from Team.

No. An export is a single JSON file of your records — projects and print beds, customers, printers, materials and inventory, ledger entries, calendar notes and settings, archived and deleted ones included. Your uploaded images and files are listed in it by name, without their contents. Those stay in Kraftius's private file storage, so download anything you need to keep separately.

Your data lives in Kraftius's database, not just your browser. While that database service is available, it can be recovered to any point in the last six hours. Off-site backups of the database and your uploaded files are started manually when needed, so after a total loss of our providers, changes since the last successful backup could be lost. For a copy of your own, a workshop admin can use the export in Settings → Data; it holds your records but not the contents of your uploaded files.
