Terms of Service
The agreement between your workshop and Kraftius. It covers what the service does, what you are responsible for, what happens to your data, and the limits of what we promise. Kraftius is free while it is in beta.

Who provides this service
Kraftius is software for running a workshop: projects, customers, printers, materials, inventory, quotes and production records. It is provided by [FOUNDER: full legal name of the provider], [FOUNDER: company type and registration or tax number], at [FOUNDER: postal address]. Contact details are in the last section.
These Terms apply from the moment you create an account. By continuing past the acceptance screen you agree to them, and we record which version you agreed to and when.
Kraftius is in public beta. The service is free, no payment is taken, and no price is shown anywhere in the product. Development is active and the software changes often.
Accounts and workshops
Signing in is handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. Your password and any second factor are held by Clerk and never reach Kraftius. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done through your account.
Your data lives inside a workshop, which is created for you when you sign up. A workshop administrator invites and removes people, sets what each person may see and do, and is responsible for keeping that list current — particularly for removing access when someone leaves.
Give accurate account information and keep it up to date. If you use Kraftius on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.
Acceptable use
Use Kraftius for lawful workshop and business operations. The limits below are the ones we enforce; they exist to keep the service available for everyone, and we will tell you if you are near one rather than cutting you off silently.
- Do not attempt to reach another workshop’s account, projects, files or infrastructure.
- Do not upload malware, infringing material, or files you are not permitted to process.
- Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, or probe our infrastructure.
- Do not automate requests in a way that degrades availability. Uploads, imports, exports and project creation are rate-limited per workshop, and each workshop has a total file-storage ceiling.
Your data and your customers’ data
Everything you enter stays yours: projects, customers, materials, pricing, notes and uploaded files. You grant us only the permission needed to host, process, back up and transmit it in order to run, secure and support the service. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train anything or to advertise.
Much of what you enter is personal data about your own customers — names, phone numbers, addresses, tax identifiers, and whatever you write in a note. For that data you decide what is collected and why, and Kraftius processes it on your behalf. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for it and for giving those people any notice they are owed. We are responsible for handling it as described in the Privacy Notice.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of what you enter, and for having the right to upload the models and files you upload.
Quotes, prices and calculations
Material cost, machine cost, margin, tax, stock levels and profitability are calculated from the values you enter — your electricity rate, your material prices, your printer depreciation, your labour. They are operational estimates. They are not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and they do not model every variable in a real production run.
Review any quote before you send it to a customer, and any stock or financial entry before you rely on it. When a project leaves draft status, Kraftius freezes the unit prices behind its quote so that later changes to material or machine costs cannot move a figure a customer has already accepted. Returning the project to draft unfreezes it. You decide what you charge and what you record.
Plans and payment
Kraftius is free during the beta, with no usage caps and no time limit. There is no checkout, no payment provider is connected, and no card details are collected or stored anywhere in the service.
If paid plans are introduced, we will show the price, currency, tax treatment, billing interval, renewal terms, cancellation and refund rules before any payment is taken, and record what you agreed to. Because Kraftius is open to individuals as well as businesses, consumer purchases will also carry the pre-contract information and withdrawal rights their law requires. Existing workshops will be told before anything they already use starts costing money.
Availability and changes
Kraftius is under active development. Features change, and maintenance and outages happen. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and during the beta there is no service-level commitment.
What we do commit to is being honest about recovery. Automatic point-in-time recovery of the database covers the last six hours. Off-site backups of the database and of uploaded files are taken to a separate provider on a weekly cadence and verified by test restores. So the realistic worst case is losing up to six hours of database changes, or up to a week of uploaded files, in a total-loss scenario. [FOUNDER: any support response-time commitment.]
We may change these Terms. If a change is material you will be asked to accept the new version the next time you sign in, and the version you accepted is recorded. Continuing to use Kraftius after a change means you accept it.
Suspension, closing a workshop, and your data
You can stop using Kraftius at any time. Before you go, export your data from Settings → Data: the export is a single JSON file covering your projects, customers, printers, materials, inventory, ledger entries, calendar notes and settings. Two things it does not contain, and you should plan around both: the contents of your uploaded files, which it lists by name and identity only, and your team-membership, support-message and subscription records. Download anything you need to keep separately.
Closing a workshop marks it closed and stops access. Your data is not destroyed at that moment: it is retained for [FOUNDER: retention period for closed workshops] so that an accidental closure can be undone, and then permanently deleted, including uploaded files. Records we are required to keep, and the record that you accepted these Terms, are retained beyond that point.
We may limit or suspend access to protect the service or other users — for a security threat, unlawful use or serious abuse. Except where it would be unlawful or would defeat the purpose, we will tell you why and give you a way to respond.
Providers and intellectual property
Kraftius runs on infrastructure from other companies: Clerk for authentication, Neon for the database, Vercel for hosting and file storage, Cloudflare for off-site backups, and Sentry for error monitoring. They are listed with their roles and locations in the Privacy Notice. Their availability affects ours.
The Kraftius software, interface, documentation and brand remain ours or our licensors’. These Terms grant you the right to use the service, not to copy, resell, or reverse engineer it, except where the law says that restriction does not apply.
Warranties, liability and disputes
Kraftius is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss. [FOUNDER: liability cap, indemnity and warranty wording — to be drafted by counsel, not copied from another product.]
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for rights the law gives you that cannot be waived.
Kraftius is available to businesses and to individuals. If you are using it as a consumer, nothing in these Terms removes rights your local law gives you, and where they conflict your statutory rights win. These Terms are governed by [FOUNDER: governing law], and disputes go to [FOUNDER: competent courts].
